President Samia chairs Cabinet meeting focused on development, economy

Dodoma. President Samia Suluhu Hassan has chaired a Cabinet meeting at the Chamwino State House in Dodoma, with deliberations focusing on the implementation of national development plans, the state of the economy, and key policy matters aimed at improving public welfare and accelerating national progress.

Convened on April 29, 2025 as part of the government’s routine engagement, the meeting brought together ministers from various sectors who presented and discussed reports relating to their respective portfolios.

The discussions culminated in proposals to refine policies and enhance operational strategies in line with national priorities.

President Samia emphasised the importance of accountability, prudent management of public resources, and enhanced collaboration among ministries as critical enablers of sustainable and inclusive growth.

The Cabinet session took place a day after the Head of State officially inaugurated the Cooperative Bank of Tanzania (Coop Bank), a development viewed as a major milestone in strengthening the financial sector and deepening access to credit, particularly for cooperatives and small-scale producers.

The Cabinet meeting is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the effective implementation of the ruling party’s manifesto and the country’s long-term development vision.
