Algiers. The Tanzania National Parks Authority (Tanapa) is among the key participants in the 22nd International Exhibition of Tourism and Travel (SITEV 2025), taking place at the SAFEX Exhibition Centre in Algiers, Algeria.
The event, which has attracted exhibitors and visitors from across Africa and beyond, has provided a platform for Tanapa to promote Tanzania’s diverse tourist attractions and investment opportunities in the natural heritage sector.
The authority is exhibiting at the Tanzanian Embassy’s pavilion, which has become a point of interest for many international visitors seeking detailed information on how to explore Tanzania and invest in its tourism industry.
Tanzania’s Ambassador to Algeria, Mr Iman Salum Njalikai, encouraged participants to take advantage of such international exhibitions to discover the rich and unique tourism offerings available in Tanzania, particularly those found within the country’s network of national parks.
He noted that Algeria’s national airline is currently exploring the possibility of launching direct flights to Tanzania, a development expected to further boost tourist flows and enhance bilateral cooperation in the travel and hospitality industries.
Several Algerian media outlets also visited the Tanzanian pavilion, where they engaged with conservation and tourism experts from Tanapa.
Their coverage, which has aired on Algerian television and circulated on social media platforms, is expected to raise Tanzania’s profile among potential tourists and investors in North Africa.
Among the dignitaries who visited the Tanzanian stand was Algeria’s Minister for Tourism and Arts, Ms Horia Medahi, who received briefings on Tanzania’s tourism landscape and the country’s commitment to conservation-led development.
The SITEV 2025 exhibition, which opened on July 12, is set to conclude on July 15.
