Dodoma. Experts in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism have been urged to adopt digital systems in carrying out their responsibilities to enhance efficiency in processing, storing and accessing information on time.

The call was made in Dodoma by the ministry’s Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Ms Bure Nassibu, when closing a two-day working session that focused on discussing and planning strategies for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of policies, plans, strategic frameworks and the 2025–2030 Election Manifesto.

She said while digital tools are essential, staff are also expected to uphold integrity and comply with public service regulations, as the ministry relies on them to drive the success of its mandates.

Ms Nassibu further emphasised the importance of close collaboration with leaders, staff from departments, units and institutions, in order to strengthen collective understanding of the role of Monitoring and Evaluation in daily operations.

“Monitoring and Evaluation is a crucial tool for ensuring that all goals and activities planned within an institution for a given year are completed on schedule, as planned, to advance the ministry and the nation at large,” she said.

Speaking at the forum, Mr Kombo told Singaporean investors that Tanzania remains committed to advancing reforms to strengthen the business environment, guided by its development vision and commitment to international cooperation.

Singaporean leaders and investors underscored Tanzania’s importance in boosting Africa-Asia trade, expressing strong interest in collaboration in agriculture technology, digital services, manufacturing, and the blue economy.

The 8th Africa Singapore Business Forum is being held alongside the 5th Singapore-Africa Foreign Ministers’ Meeting from August 26 to 29, 2025.

Tanzania’s delegation, led by Mr Kombo, includes 17 business leaders who also participated in the forum’s opening sessions.
