Dar es Salaam. The Treasury Registrar, Mr Nehemiah Mchechu, on Monday, February 9, 2026, held discussions with Mr Frederic Van de Vyver, Head of Anglophone Africa Jeune Afrique Media Group, a leading Pan-African news company headquartered in Paris, France.
The talks, held at the Office of the Treasury Registrar in Dar es Salaam, focused on ways to collaborate and highlight the investment opportunities available in Tanzania.
Mr Mchechu assured Mr Van de Vyver that Tanzania offers a favourable investment environment and that he would receive strong support.
“In the public sector, you will have full cooperation from the Office of the Treasury Registrar, and in the private sector, support will be available through the Tanzania CEO Roundtable (CEOrt),” Mr Mchechu said.
Mr Van de Vyver, for his part, expressed his commitment to strengthening collaboration with Tanzania.
“We must find the best ways to work together,” he said, agreeing with the Treasury Registrar that Tanzania provides a business-friendly environment.
