The visit is expected to strengthen Tanzania’s reputation in the US market and boost efforts to attract more international tourists, thereby supporting the government’s agenda of making tourism a key pillar of economic growth

Musoma. Tanzania’s tourism prospects continue to brighten as 120 travel agents from the United States expressed deep admiration for the country’s breathtaking landscapes, abundant wildlife, and rich cultural heritage.

The enthusiastic response came during a dinner reception held on the evening of 7 November 2025 at Serengeti National Park in the Mara Region.

The event, organised by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, aimed to welcome the agents who are on a familiarisation tour of the country’s leading tourist attractions.

Justin Alfred, Chief Executive Officer of Excellent Guide Tours and Safaris, said the group was impressed by Tanzania’s natural beauty and the warmth of its people.

“We are truly fascinated by the magnificent scenery and the diverse wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, lions, and buffaloes. This country is peaceful, its people are friendly, and tourists should not hesitate to visit,” he said.

He noted that the visit seeks to strengthen Tanzania’s global visibility as Africa’s premier tourism destination, distinguished by its pristine environment, cultural heritage, and unparalleled natural treasures.

Patricia Walker from the US-based Nexion Travel agency described the visit as a lifelong dream fulfilled.

“Visiting Tanzania has been my dream since I was five years old, especially to witness the splendour of the Serengeti National Park,” she remarked.

Serengeti National Park Chief Conservator, Stephano Msumi, extended gratitude to the visiting agents for choosing Tanzania as their destination of interest.

He urged them to become ambassadors of the country’s tourism once they return home, promoting Tanzania as a must-visit destination for nature and adventure enthusiasts alike.

The visit is expected to strengthen Tanzania’s reputation in the US market and boost efforts to attract more international tourists, thereby supporting the government’s agenda of making tourism a key pillar of economic growth.
