Dar es Salaam. The Fair Competition Commission (FCC) has established comprehensive strategies aimed at strengthening the delivery of timely, high-quality services to the public through the integration of modern digital systems.
During a strategic working session with FCC staff on February 2, 2026, the Acting Director General, Ms Khadija Ngasongwa, said that these measures are designed to boost operational efficiency and ensure that services meet international standards.
She further noted that the FCC remains committed to the vision of President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan to improve Tanzania’s business environment by engaging entrepreneurs through user-friendly and efficient systems.
Ms Ngasongwa noted that the Commission has been proactive in bringing services closer to the citizens.
“A key milestone in this expansion includes the establishment of the FCC Tanga Regional and Border Office, which aims to broaden the scope of service delivery, particularly for those in peripheral areas of the country,” she said.
Commitment to quality and transparency
The FCC has maintained a reputation for professionalism and transparency, earning global recognition for its internal processes.
“We are here to serve the public with quality standards that are internationally recognised. I commend the team for maintaining our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification,” Ms Ngasongwa remarked.
Planning for the Future: Dira 2050
The meeting also served as a platform for staff to review and discuss the draft of the Commission’s new Five-Year Strategic Plan (2026/27–2030/31).
This roadmap is designed to align with the implementation of the National Vision 2050 (Dira 2050), ensuring that the Commission’s objectives mirror the long-term developmental goals of the nation.
The FCC continues to uphold a participatory culture, involving employees across all levels in decision-making processes to ensure both institutional growth and staff welfare.
Under the motto FCC for Fair Performance in a Market Economy, the Commission is positioning itself as a cornerstone of Tanzania’s economic regulatory framework.
