Simba’s Kibu on the verge of joining Al-Nasr of Libya

Simba have already reached a full agreement with Al-Nasr to sell the forward, following a formal offer of $300,000, equivalent to approximately Sh771.7 million

Dar es Salaam. With Kibu Denis’ contract at Simba SC set to expire at the end of the current season, new developments indicate that the Tanzanian giants are in the final stages of completing his transfer to Libyan powerhouse Al-Nasr.

Reliable information from within Simba confirms that the striker, who joined the club during the 2021–2022 major transfer window, is on the verge of sealing a move to Libya, with only minor procedural steps remaining before the deal is officially concluded.

Simba have already reached a full agreement with Al-Nasr to sell the forward, following a formal offer of $300,000, equivalent to approximately Sh771.7 million.

The two clubs are currently wrapping up final documentation to complete the transfer.

This development represents the second serious attempt by Al-Nasr to sign Kibu Denis.

The Libyan club initially pursued him during the last major transfer window ahead of the current season, but negotiations failed to produce an agreement at the time.

In this latest approach, however, Al-Nasr returned with renewed financial strength and a clearer strategy, prompting Simba to accept the deal.

Simba’s decision has been influenced by the fact that Kibu’s contract expires at the end of the season.

Rather than risk losing the striker on a free transfer, the club has opted to cash in now and secure a significant transfer fee.

Upon completing his move to Al-Nasr, Kibu will reunite with familiar faces, including former Simba teammates Fabrice Ngoma and Steven Mukwala, both of whom are currently part of the Libyan side’s squad.

At present, Kibu Denis is in Angola with the Simba team, which is preparing for a CAF Champions League group-stage encounter against Petro Luanda scheduled for Saturday.

Al-Nasr are enjoying an impressive campaign in the Libyan Premier League, where they currently sit top of Group Four with a perfect record.

The club has collected 21 points after winning all seven of their matches so far, underlining their strong domestic form.

During the ongoing season, Kibu Denis has scored two goals for Simba, both coming in the CAF Champions League first-round tie against Nsingizini Hotspurs, a match that ended in a convincing 3–0 victory for the Tanzanian side.
