TEHAMA Awards 2025 sees record nominations, announces Deloitte partnership

Dar es Salaam. The TEHAMA Awards 2025 has secured a partnership with Deloitte and received a record 380 nominations, a significant milestone for the awards programme.

The collaboration, announced by the ministry of Communication and Information Technology in partnership with SoftVentures, the ICT Commission, and the Tanzania Internet Service Providers Association (TISPA), will enhance governance and credibility in the evaluation process.

Deloitte will provide advisory and oversight in the evaluation process, support governance and risk management practices.

Insights

The firm will also contribute industry insights to support governance, risk management, and digital transformation initiatives.

Deloitte Tanzania’s senior consultant, Suzana Patrick, expressed the firm’s enthusiasm for the partnership.

“Deloitte is honoured to collaborate with TEHAMA Awards 2025 in recognising and celebrating ICT excellence in Tanzania. This collaboration reflects our commitment to fostering innovation, good governance, and sustainable digital growth,” she said.

Echoing similar sentiments, the director general of the ICT Commission, Dr Nkundwe Mwasaga, said the awards process are import to transparency and governance.

“On behalf of the TEHAMA awards organising committee, we believe that strong governance and transparency are essential in recognising true excellence in the ICT sector,” he noted.

He added that collaborating with Deloitte for the TEHAMA Awards 2025 reinforces the commitment to uphold the highest standards in the evaluation process.

“This collaboration ensures that innovation, impact, and integrity remain at the core of these awards as we celebrate those shaping Tanzania’s digital future,” he said.

Record-breaking nominations

This year’s awards have attracted 380 nominations across 10 main categories, with strong participation in 21 of the 22 subcategories.

The awards categories include ICT Applications in Education, Finance, and Healthcare; Cybersecurity Innovation; Data Protection Best Practices and Emerging Technologies.

Other categories include Private and Public Sector ICT Projects; Internet Connectivity Awards (Best Carrier Provider, ISP, and MNO); and Diversity in Tech (Female Innovator, Female Tech Leader, Student Excellence).
