Dar es Salaam. Tanzania is preparing to host more than 2,000 domestic and international delegates alongside representatives from over 50 global companies at the seventh Tanzania Mining and Investment Conference (TMIC 2026).
The high-level gathering is scheduled to take place from November19 to 21 2026 at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam, placing the country firmly at the centre of global mining finance and technology.
Organised to highlight Tanzania’s vast mineral potential, TMIC 2026 will unite government officials, international investors, mining executives, financial institutions, technology experts, and researchers across the mineral value chain.
The conference provides a dedicated platform to secure fresh capital and foster strategic commercial partnerships between Tanzania and global investors.
A central agenda for the three-day forum is driving investment into modern extraction techniques, mineral processing, refining, and value addition.
Tanzania aims to leverage the platform to promote local manufacturing using raw domestic minerals, accelerating the transition from exporting raw, unprocessed materials to establishing robust local industrial hubs.
Deliberations will focus on how the sector can further drive broader economic growth, create skilled employment opportunities, accelerate technology transfer, enhance local participation, and boost national revenues.
The mining sector continues to serve as a vital cornerstone of Tanzania’s economic development, supported by deliberate policy efforts to keep value creation within the country.
Speaking during the launch of the event, the minister for Minerals, Anthony Mavunde, reaffirmed that the government remains steadfast in constructing a transparent, stable, and investor-friendly business environment.
He emphasised that managing national mineral resources effectively will ensure sustainable economic returns for the country while offering attractive opportunities for international capital.
Prospective participants, foreign delegations, and prospective investors can register for the summit through the official portal at conference.madini.go.tz or by reaching event coordination via phone on +255 714 278 620.
